Mapping CAD Lab Shares on Windows 7 Laptops

To set up the CAD Lab Network Shares on a Windows 7 Laptop:

  1. Click Windows Start .

  2. Click Computer

  3. Click Map Network Drive.

  4. In the Drive pulldown list, select the desired drive letter:
    5. O:
          		for personal network home drive.
     
    V:
          		for the Distrib drive.
     
    W:
          		for the Class Submittal drive.
     

  5. For Folder, enter the desired network path.
    6. Drive Network (UNC) Path
    O:**
          		\\solaria.sheridanc.on.ca\YourUserName$
     
    V:
          		\\trantor.sheridanc.on.ca\distrib
     
    W:***
          		\\trantor.sheridanc.on.ca\YourClassCode
     

  6. Check Reconnect at Logon.

  7. Check Connect using different credentials.

  8. Click Finish.

  9. In the Windows Security dialog box,click Use another account.

  10. In the User name field, enter cadlab\UserName (UserName** is your CAD Lab login name).
  11. In the Password field, enter your CAD Lab account password.
  12. Check Remember my credentials.

  13. Click OK.

    14. Note:
    If a second Windows Security box pops up with “Connect to Trantor or Solaria”:

    1. Enter your CAD Lab login name and password again.
    2. Check Remember my Credentials check box.

    3. Click OK.

**Note: YourUserName$ is your CAD Lab login name followed by a dollar sign (i.e. sing1234$)

***Note: YourClassCode is your class number (i.e. 51ad3, 55ad2 or 53mdy3)
